EasyRoute does not track you. It does not collect or send any information directly back to me, the author of EasyRoute.
However
If you have opted to share analytics with app developers, I will see some anonymous usage data and reports if EasyRoute crashes. Crash reports allow me to find where things went wrong. They’re very helpful and actually do help to improve the software, so if you opt in, thanks!
This is in the Settings App under Privacy->Analytics. The option is called Share With App Developers.
Mapbox
Subscribers and Premium users can opt to use a Mapbox map. They collect anonymous telemetry in order to improve the map. Press the Ⓘ button on the map for more information or to opt out. You can read their privacy policy here.
Subscribers can opt to use Google Maps. You can read their privacy policy here.
Ads
EasyRoute 5 has no 3rd-party ads. The banner it displays is simply there to remind you that you can get more map types through a subscription. It is not linked to an ad network and does no tracking whatsoever.
Prior to EasyRoute 5, non-premium EasyRoute users are served ads by Google. It uses an advertising identifier which can be used to track you (or rather “provide you with more relevant ads”), but honors the iOS option to turn this off.
